Hi! I’m Danny.
An automotive journalist and photographer
First of all: Why do I love cars? Well, I have my surrounding family to thank for kickstarting my passion; my grandad was a mechanic, and both of my parents are petrolheads, so I was definitely destined to become one myself. However, I don’t think anyone could have predicted how important the automotive world would become to me. The watershed moment was attending my first Goodwood FOS, and since then, I have never looked back. As time went by, and after collecting as many Evo magazines and watching as many repeated episodes of Top Gear as humanly possible, my passion grew exponentially, and now I love anything with four wheels, particularly modern classics from the late Noughties where I grew up. I am generally captivated by anything though – modern or classic, and everything in between.

At the same time, I also developed a passion for writing – I find there to be something very satisfying about building a good story, with interesting, engaging points and a flowing structure. So, by putting two and two together, I figured that pursuing a job as an automotive journalist would be the dream, as it combines two of the things I love into one – and after being lucky enough to gain some valuable experience with one of the biggest magazines in the country, my ambition to get into the industry only grew further.

What resulted from all of this was Macchina Media: my own website, giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream of being an automotive journalist by publishing my own writing and photography, and offer my opinions, ideas and experiences from within the automotive world that I love, from a more personal angle.

I hope you enjoy following my automotive adventures.
